So you have probably (hopefully) seen the County photographs in Steam Railway. Here are some from the shoot. How fantastic to have got to this point and it is a real testament to all at Didcot who have worked to get us this far.
What is noticeable is the gap, between cab and smokebox. We really want to fill that gap, and we would welcome any new supporters who would like to contribute to help complete the loco (please click the donate button on the home page).
It's good to see the progress given these photos by Frank Dumbleton have surfaced from 2006 when the frames first arrived at Didcot.
Thanks for sending me this. Unfortunately, I have been suffering a thigh problem of late, which has, so far, prevented me from going into town to buy the magazine. Mind you, I have just had a thought - they might sell Steam Railway in Tesco!
Things seem to be going well and I am impressed with the cover view, even if the boiler is still missing!
